Under the background of the over expected economic downturn to break 7,difficult and slow industry transformation,zombie-like struggling of large excess production capacity enterprises, and the variability of the prospects of innovation enterprises,bad-asset capital ratio of commercial banks keeps climbing, which brings huge pressure for the profitability and management of banks. So,during the period of the sustained economic downturn, how to strengthen the management and control the risks and reduce new nonperforming assets, and how to liquidate properly have become the most troublesome problem for bankers. At present, the non-performing assets of commercial banks show a "new normal".Since the fourth season in 2011,nonperforming loan balance and NPL ratio both have been rising for four years, and overdue loan, overdue interest and special-mentioned loan are increasing rapidly. In a high-risk environment with rising nonperforming assets, liquidation and disposal of the nonperforming assets has become a major focus in China's bank industry. As to the stock nonperforming assets, besides traditional disposal methods, innovated methods have become a hot topic in the discussion of bank industry, meanwhile, some disposal methods such as nonperforming assets securitization and debt-to-equity swaps have become the focus of the discussion gradually.Although conduction velocity of non-performing assets in Yunnan Province is a bit slower, the problems started to appear in the second half year of 2012.It caused very severe pressure on the bank industry in Yunnan, and influenced each commercial bank's support for the substantial economy. Therefore, how to effectively control the continued appearance of nonperforming assets, scientifically liquidate and control the rate of unqualified commercial banks under a controllable degree has become an urgent problem to be solved in local regulatory authorities and commercial banks. In the method of quantitative and qualitative analysis, the current status of non-performing loans in China's banking industry has been introduced and analyzed in this thesis. The absolute amount of non-performing loans of commercial banks in China has risen rapidly in recent years that peaked in 2015 and the growth rate has slowed down by 2016;At the same time, due to the continuous expansion and dilution of loan scale, the non-performing ratio did not show a sharp rise.Although all commercial banks stepped up accrual of loan loss provisions, they still cannot stop the rapid drop of provision coverage.Concerned loans "double rise",the level of downward pressure on migration is larger. The situation of non-performing loans in 2017 is still not optimistic, downward pressure continues unabated.By reviewing and introducing the history and status quo of non-performing assets management, this thesis summarizes the main modes of disposal of non-performing assets in China's commercial banks by using the method of literature analysis combined with the research results of scholars and experts at home and abroad.Under the supervision of our country's strict separation operation, the commercial banks are still in a homogeneity. The means of disposal of non-performing assets by commercial banks are still relatively single and limited. Before the macroeconomic stabilization,it is rather difficult and ineffective to reduce the negative growth caused by counter-cyclical operations.Combined with the new normal of the development of non-performing assets and the current situation of Yunnan Province, this thesis analyzes the commercial bank's new exploration of the non-performing asset disposal innovation model. With the improvement of multi-level non-performing asset disposal institutions, the continuous participation of participants, and the maturity of Internet + multi-channel non-performing assets,it is possible to solve existing problems,to quickly remove the burden and to ultimately achieve a non-performing asset efficiency and profit maximization. In addition, this article also combines the economic development status of Yunnan Province, the case of non-performing assets disposal and the experience of disposal of non-performing assets, using case analysis method to analyze and summarize two cases, the debt-swaps of Yunnan Tin Group and bankruptcy and reorganization of Yunnan Coal Chemical Industry Group. The two cases have a certain degree of innovation in Yunnan Province, but it is not widely applied,so it is worth continuing to learn and promotion by local financial institutions and regulatory authorities.Overall, after the non-performing assets of our country commercial banks and the local commercial banks of Yunnan Province appear "the new normal state",the substantial rise of non-performing assets has also had a greater impact on the overall economic development of the whole country and Yunnan. At the same time, various commercial banks showed a lot of discomfort in the control and disposal of non-performing assets, and the overall disposal method was still very simple.Only to enrich non-performing assets disposal channels and modes, different types of non-performing assets target docking partner agencies,to fully learn from the advanced experience of other regions in China,to further improve the non-performing asset trading market in Yunnan Province,to effectively increase the market participants and cooperation agencies and to explore a new model suitable for non-performing assets disposal of local commercial banks in Yunnan Province can effectively control the continuous rise of non-performing assets in the local area and properly handle the non-performing assets in stock.Furthermore, this thesis tries to provide a new experience of non-performing assets disposal for commercial banks in Yunnan Province.
