Requirement Management Research For The Process Of Software Development In A Company

With the promotion of information technology in our society,expectation on the quality of software is getting more and more urgent.Meanwhile,project delivery is also becoming increasingly difficult.Some issues related to requirement management are the main reasons that lead to project failure,which including inadequate requirement acquiring,incorrect requirement definition,ineffective control of requirement changes and so on.Furthermore,the cost to resolve requirement issues will increase significantly along with the promotion of project lifecycle.So,trying to discover and resolve the issues naturally becomes the object of project manager.Implementing requirement management through project lifecycle is a good measure to solve the problems.Relevant research in this paper is carried out on the circumstance of one management software research company(named A company).Under the theory guidance of project region management,requirement engineer,requirement management in CMMI and best practice in software requirement management,the author wants to find some good methods to improve the management level of development procedure and requirement in A company by making deep analysis of requirement management issues during the procedure of software development.Requirement management content is divided into three parts in this paper,including requirement procedure management,requirement tracking test and requirement change management.Of which,requirement procedure management is consisted of four aspects,which are requirement catch,requirement analysis,requirement definition and requirement acknowledgement.The extension research of problem analysis and improvement idea on requirement management of A company all based on the above three parts.Advantage of this division method is that it can make requirement management expand to the whole lifecycle of software development.So,there is certain difference compare this division with present research which only takes requirement acknowledgement,requirement tracking and change control into requirement management.The author wishes to help A company to improve the requirement management level in software development by analyzing the requirement management issue and researching the improvement scheme.Meanwhile,this paper also can inspire other companies which as the same kind of enterprise of A company to enhance their active power in the aspect of requirement management.
