The present dissertation is a comprehensive study on the morphology,taxonomy,geographic distribution and phylogeny of Erythroneurini from China.Firstly,the research history on the Erythroneurini is reviewed worldwide and domestically.In the morphological part,the taxonomical characters and terms are outlined.In the present thesis,17 genera and 35 species known in China are diagnosed,of which 5species are new to science,6 genera and 17 species are newly recorded from China.Keys are given to all the genera and species concerned.The male genitalia of all the new species and some known species are illustrated.The new taxa and new records to Chinese fauna are listed as follows:New species: Gladkara furcata;Kusala parisisalicis;Pseudothaia forcipata;Thapaia tibetensis;Zyginopsis longiprocessa;Newly recorded genera to China: Balanda Dworakowska,1979;Dorycnia Dworakowska,1972;Gladkara Dworakowska,1995;Kaukania Dworakowska,1972;Zyginopsis Ramakrishnan & Menon,1973;Newly recorded species to China: Arboridia(s.str.)kakogawana(Matsumura,1932);A.(s.str.)maculifrons(Vilbaste,1968);A.(s.str.)suputinkaensis(Vilbaste,1968);A.(s.str.)suzukii(Matsumura,1916);Balanda kara Dworakowska,1979;Dorycnia vietnamica Dworakowska,1979;Empoascanara(s.str.)plamka Dworakowska,1979;Gambialoa(s.str.)borealis Dworakowska,1981;Gladkara albida Dworakowska,1995;Kaukania anser Dworakowska,1972;Seriana dentata Sohi & Mann,1992;Seriana malaica Dworakowska,1978;Yakuza sumatrana Dworakowska,2002;Z.dworakowskae(Anufriev,1970);Ziczacella lyrifora(Dlabola,1968);Z.steggerdai(Ross,1965);Zyginopsis verticalis(Ahmed,1970);The phylogeny of this tribe was studied by using two analysis softwarcs(PAUP*4.0 and raxmlGUL 1.3)based on 50 morphological characters combined with gene sequences of 28 S D2 rDNA and 16 S rDNA with the tribe Empoascini as the outgroup.The ingroup includes 36 genera of the tribe from China.The results reveal that: 1)The tribe Erythroneurini is amonophyletic group;2)The relationships among genera of Erythroneurini are supported;3)Homoplastic evolution is common in Erythroneurini.
