Remote sensing technique is increasingly applied to mineral exploration and resource evaluation,especially in the extraction of geological metallogenic information has technical advantages.It plays an important role in geological prospecting both at home and abroad.The different spatial and spectral resolution remote sensing data can be applied to extract the geological prospecting information:structure,alteration,lithology and mineral,etc.on different scales:region-scale,district-scale,deposit-scale.After the analysis,evaluation and application research of the results,the main achievements are as follows:(1)Region-scale:Mineralization-alteration and structure information extraction plays important roles in mineral resource prospecting and assessment using remote sensing data and the Geographical Information System(GIS)technology.Choosing copper and gold mines in Burma as example,the authors adopt band ratio,threshold segmentation and principal component analysis(PCA)to extract the hydroxyl and iron alteration information using ETM+remote sensing images.Digital elevation model(DEM)(30m spatial resolution)and ETM+data was used to extract linear and circular faults that are associated with copper and gold mineralization.Combining geological data and the above information,the weights of evidence method and the C-A fractal model were used to integrate the geology,mineral,remote sensing information and identify eleven ore-forming favourable zones in this area.Hyperion mineral mapping results are used for the auxiliary analysis.In the end,based on the modern database technology and GIS technology,the geology and mineral resources database of Burma is systematically established,thus provide basic material of geology and mineral resources for the enterprise planning Exploration abroad and the government decision-making.(2)District-scale,taking the Honghai copper-zinc polymetallic deposit in the Hami area of Xinjiang province as an example,in combination with the regional Metallogenic model,based on the three different levels of remote sensing data:ETM+,ASTER,ZY3,remote sensing geological prospecting information,such as alteration information,lithology,structures,are extracted,and the results are evaluated,analyzed and applicated,which show that the hydroxy,iron alteration information of the ETM+data has a close relationship with the spatial distribution of negative terrain,regional tectonic framework,mines,ore formation.Based on the ASTER data,kaolin,propylitization,limonite,silicide,potassium alteration information are extracted,the distribution of which has better zonality,and is closely related to the regional distribution of fracture,circular and field verification points of mineralization.Based on the ZY3 data,the structure and lithology interpretation is conducted.The lithology result is consistent with the existing geological material and fields sampling point information,the distribution of the lithologic boundary is closely related to the spatial distribution of the linear and ring structures.The research lays the foundations for remote sensing geological prospecting on the ore deposit scale.(3)Deposit-scale,in view of the Hongshi-meiling mining area,Hongshan mining area,Honghai mining area,based on the ASTER data,6 kinds of alteration information are extracted,the zonality of which is obvious.It is concluded that the Hongshi-Meiling,Hongshan,Honghai mining area is located in the core of potassium mineralization alteration zoning,the center of the zonal can be a favorable position of prospecting.Based on the Hyperion data,13 kinds of mineral are obtained by mineral mapping and distribution characteristics of which is consistent with the information of field verification points.Based on the high resolution image of ZY3,structure and lithology information are extracted,which are consistent with the geology background of the mining area.The research deepens the large scale remote sensing geology survey.(4)A set of repeatable technical process based on different resolution remote sensing data to extract prospecting information and an efficient and fast prospecting model for multi-scale remote sensing geological prospecting information extraction are preliminarily summarized.
