| Koulele Area is located in the Fana low uplit of Termit Basin,which is between two hydrocarbon-producing sags---Dinga Sag and Moul Sag.The favorable structural location endow Koulele Area with prospecting potential in oil exploration.In this paper,the stratigraphy and plane distribution of the Paleogene formation are studied based on the theories of sequence stratigraphy and sedimentology.The sequence stratigraphic framework of the Paleocene in Koulele Area is established by study on combination with seismic data,well logging data and drilling cores.The Paleogene formation is a second-order sequence,composed of seven third-order sequences.Based on core observation and paleontology data,seismic data,well logging,and well test analysis,two depositional facies---braided delta and lacustrine are identified in the study area.After the analysis of single-well and well-tie facies,this paper employed research methods,such as Neural network lithilogic inversion and Seismic attribute extraction,to analyze the zonation characters of depositional facies in plane and finally identified their spatial combination-ship in the framework of sequence stratigraphy.Based on these above,the sedimentary model of Koulele Area is established for the first time.The results show that,in ESQ1,braided delta was well developed in study area,and the underwater braided channel almost distributed in north part,while sheet sand and distal bar in the south.In ESQ2,study area was in lacustrine environment,beach bar was only distributed in north and south end of the area and the middle part was filled by mudstone.In ESQ3,Koulele Area developed two braided deltas distributed in the north and east,while the other area was covered by sheet sand.In ESQ4,only east part of the area developed braided delta and the other parts developed sheet sand and beach bar.In ESQ5,the middle and south parts of Koulele Area were developed beach bar,while the north part deposited lacustrine mudstone. |
