Fan delta front reservoir is more or less found in the continental Basins of China,which has important significance to oil and gas development.Taking the Xinglongtai-1 oil layer group in Du 84,Shuguang Oilfield,Liaohe Depression as a case,this paper mainly deals with the internal architecture of fan delta front reservoir sand body.Four orders of architectural surfaces(from sixth to third)are divided in the sedimentary environment of fan delta front.The sixth bounding surface is equivalent to boundaries of compound sand bodies from stacked channels and mouth bars.The fifth bounding surface is the boundary of compound sand body in the single depositional time.The mud structure surfaces and the pebbly sandstones between two stages of channel or mouth bar sand bodies are the two types of the fourth surfaces.Five architectural-elements,included underwater distributary channel,mouth bar,inter distributary bay,neritic shale and sand of front marginal,are divided in fan delta front.This paper has focused on the architecture of sand bodies.Following three aspects are involved.Firstly,six marks of single channel sand body can be identified,which are the different distance between sand body and top layer of adjacent wells,bar sand bodies distributed in both sides of channel sand body,thick-thin-thick sand bodies association,Lateral superposed of sand bodies,inter-channel or inter-bar sediments and characteristic of logging curves.Secondly,compound sand bodies had been from channel-channel,channel-bar,and bar-bar,then superimposed styles and flat characteristics have been summarized.Thirdly,the single channel and bar scale is determined.Through drawing the sand and bar bodies of the cross section,calculate out the width and the thickness of the clear boundary of sand bodies,and fit formulas of the width and thickness of single sand body.Based on the results of above research,3D reservoir geological model has been finished by petrel.
