The study area is located in Xing'anmeng district of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and structurally belongs to the Zhibaoyintu-Xilinhot volcanic passive continental margin of North China Plate and Late Paleozoic Ulanhot-Linxi rift zone.It is at the eastern margin of Daxing'anling uplift belt in Neocathaysian structural system and adjacent to the Songliao Basin with the Nenjiang Fault as boundary. It is in the Cu,Pb,Zn,Au,Ag,Sn and Mo metallogenic belt of Daxing'anling. The metallogenic geological background is good, but the geological research is poor, since geological survey and mineral exploration are only limited to prospecting targets. In order to clarify the mineral resources in the study area, the prospecting area and direction were proposed. The outcropped strata in the study area include Proterozoic Aligamiao Formation,Middle Permian Dashizhai and Zhesi Formation,Middle Jurassic Wanbao Formation,Upper Jurassic Manketou Ebo,Manitu and Baiyingaolao Formation and Quaternary Holocene loose deposits, which are distributed along the valley and its two sides.Intrusive rocks consist of Late Paleozoic ultrabasic rocks,medium-fine-grained granites,medium-coarse-grained granites and fine-grained granites and Mesozoic dioritic porphyrite, porphyritic biotite granite and granite porphyry complex.Among them, the Late Mesozoic intermediate-acid rock masses that intrude into Permian Zhesi and Dashizhai Formation are important targets for prospecting silver polymetallic deposits.Affected by the tectonic movement of Mesozoic, the structures formed in Late Paleozoic were not preserved. The main tectonic line of Mesozoic was of NE and NNE trending, where gold, copper, silver, molybdenum and tungsten deposits were formed as a result of the injection of a large amount of acidic and intermediate magma. Two typical ore deposits a were selected as research objects and the metallogenic characteristics of silver polymetallic deposits were summarized.Based on the systematic analysis and research of existing 1:50000 geological survey results, geophysical and geochemical data, remote sensing interpretation and regional mineral comprehensive information, the markers of the geological, geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing data were extracted and the typical deposits(ore occurrences)were dissected in order to select and divide favorable metallogenic prospects and point out the direction for further prospecting. The favorable metallogenic province was located in the gradient zone of the eastern slope of Daxing'anling, where 8 aeromagnetic anomalies were discovered.High-precision magnetic survey area was divided into 6 I-grade areas and 15 II-grade areas, where 55 local anomalies were interpreted.Through the processing and analysis results of 1:50000 soil geochemical data,it was discovered that the correlations between the elements were poor.A total of 8 Au single element anomalies,10 Ag single element anomalies,13 Cu single element anomalies,7 Pb single element anomalies,7 Zn single element anomalies,9 Mo single element anomalies and 15 combined anomalies were delineated?Based on the geological characteristics, geochemical fields, geochemical composite anomalies, regional metallogenic regularities and the distribution characteristics of existing ore occurrences and mineralization alteration belts in Xing'anmeng district, combined with regional geophysical characteristics, remote sensing geological interpretation and mineralization abnormally,4 metallogenic prospects were delineated, including 3 I-grade(A-type),1 II-grade(B-type)metallogenic prospect.Through the evaluation of the prospecting potential of the 4 metallogenic prospects,3 prospects were selected as prospecting targets.
