Han Opera is a product of regional culture for hundreds of years. In the history of Han opera development, the historical position of Chinese opera cannot be ignored. As early as 2006,Han Opera was listed as the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection projects.Although the Han Opera is declining, its contribution to the development of the opera is indelible. The Han Opera combined the sound of the North and the South and opened up the performance form of the PiHuang Aria.It laid the foundation for the Peking Opera and played a role in promoting the development of the PiHuang Opera As the core communication area of the HanHe Opera School of Han Opera Culture in Wuhan, the study of Wuhan Opera in Wuhan can play a role in promoting the study of Chinese Opera in other regions and even the whole country. The traditional method of Han Opera culture research is already very mature, with many achievements. It mainly analyzes the performance arts, the content of the repertoire, and the growth of artists. There are also a lot of related researches on the history of Han drama. However, most of these studies are still contrary to the traditional research methods. It is difficult to visually display the development process of Han Opera from the perspective of time and space. In the collection and arrangement of data, this paper uses the geographic database function of GIS to convert text information into data with spatial attributes for storage and editing.Through the mapping function and spatial analysis method of GIS,the production maps, density analysis maps, and center transition diagrams of Han opera were produced, which visually demonstrated the spatial development and evolution of Wuhan Han drama. At the same time, the spatial distribution characteristics and historical changes of the Han Opera culture are further explored by combining the changes in the natural environment of Wuhan, the development and changes of urban functions, and population growth and reduction. This paper uses the spatial analysis methods of GIS to conduct scientific and quantitative visualization research on the development of Han drama in Wuhan, which plays a role in inspiring traditional Chinese cultural studies on methodological innovation and also for the quantification of other traditional opera and folk culture.
