The stability analysis of slope has always been a typical problem in geotechnical engineering, which is widely concerned by engineers because of its multiple, destructive and various parameters. On the one hand,it relates to the normal use of various buildings and structures under maintenance,on the other hand,it also seriously affects the construction cost of the project. Therefore, how to make effective and reasonable use of slope, prevent and cure the disaster caused by slope instability, meet the need of project construction safety, study the slope stability analysis and reinforcement methods is an important topic in geotechnical engineering field. At present, the methods used to analyze slope stability in engineering mainly include limit equilibrium method and numerical analysis method. The idea of the limit equilibrium method is to use the equilibrium equation to solve the safety coefficient according to Moer's shear strength theory. The methods of limit balance mainly include simplification of common strip method, unbalanced thrust transfer method and simplification of Bishop method. The biggest shortcoming of this method is the assumption that soil is a rigid body, the constitutive relationship of soil itself is not considered. The finite element method is used to analyze the geotechnical body as a variable form.It not only makes up for the disadvantages of the stress-strain relationship, but also considers the properties of the material, including the handling of complex boundary conditions and materials of nonuniformity and Anisotropy, without any assumptions. At the same time, the slip surface, plastic area, stress field and displacement field can be obtained when the safety coefficient is obtained. In this paper, the stability of slope is analyzed by intensity reduction method, and a series of studies are made.1)First,the development history of slope stability and anti slide pile is expounded.Secondly, the limit equilibrium method and the finite element method for slope stability analysis are introduced. Then the principle and application of strength reduction method are mainly discussed.2)In this paper, the ANSYS software is used to analyze the concrete examples on the basis of the theory of strength reduction, and the stability analysis of another classic example is carried out under the action of pile and soil, and the change of the stability coefficient before and after the anti slide pile is added is compared. The influence of material elastic modulus E0 and Poisson's ratio reduction on safety factor is also discussed.
