Synchronization is a common and widespread phenomenon in many science and engineering fields. The stability and synchronization of chaotic systems have been widely studied since Pecora and Carrol initially presented the master-slave concept for the synchronization of chaotic systems. This paper mainly investigates the problem of the design of hybrid controller for synchronization of chaotic systems. The rest of the paper is organized as follows. In Chapter 1,the background and some former results are introduced. In Chapter 2,by using linear matrix inequalities(LMIs)and the Lyapunov method, the sampled-data based lag synchronization of chaotic delayed neural networks with impulsive control has been investigated.Hybrid controller including the impulsive controller and the sampled-data controller is designed. Some sufficient conditions ensuring the lag synchronization of delayed chaotic neural networks are established and an example is provided to illustrate the efficiency of the obtained results. In Chapter 3,based on the Lyapunov method and the average dwell time(ADT)method,we study the synchronization of Chen chaotic systems by using a hybrid controller including the continuous state feedback controller, the impulsive controller and the nonlinear feedback law and derive some sufficient conditions for the synchronization. Finally,a numerical simulation is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization scheme.
