Cultural relics are the legacy of ancient human development,condense many cultural factors,and have a high historical,artistic,and scientific value.With the continuous development of our country's archaeological undertakings,the protection of cultural relics has attracted more and more attention.Stone cultural relics belong to one of many types of cultural relics,and their texture is hard to be destroyed.The disease mainly occurs on the surface.At present,researches on stone relics mainly focus on surface cleaning,desalination,reinforcement,and weather protection.There is still a lack of research on the destructive factors in the environment.Yunnan is a typical low-latitude and high-altitude area with a large UV radiation value.This paper intends to proceed from the geographical environment characteristics of Yunnan,choose ultraviolet radiation as a destructive factor,and use three common rocks in the area as the research object to explore the role of ultraviolet radiation in Damage caused by stone artifacts.By setting up ultraviolet radiation experiments,the changes in the performance parameters of each sample before and after the comparison experiment were recorded to analyze the damage effect caused by ultraviolet radiation.UV radiation experiment results show:(1)Ultraviolet radiation is an important factor causing the aging of stone cultural relics,affecting their chemical properties,and reducing acid and salt tolerance.In the acid resistance test,the mass change of each sample does not exceed 0.3 g.In the salt tolerance experiment,the quality of sandstone after UV irradiation increased by 0.8g,which is 3 times that of the blank sample.The loss of black marble mass was 0.8g,nearly 5 times that of the blank sample,and the loss of white marble quality was the same as that of the blank sample.g.(2)Ultraviolet radiation can destroy the physical properties of stone artifacts.Color differences occur on the surface of stone artifacts and water repellency is reduced.The color difference of the sandstone sample is 9.3,the surface contact angle is reduced by 27°,the color difference of the black marble sample is 7.2,the surface contact angle is reduced by 46°,the color difference of the white marble sample is 0.9,and the contact angle of the surface is reduced by 7°.(3)The damage caused by ultraviolet radiation is affected by the duration of radiation and the magnitude of radiation intensity.The longer the radiation time,the greater the damage value,and the higher the radiation intensity,the greater the damage value.The ultraviolet radiation experiment objectively demonstrated the material aging phenomenon of stone cultural relics after receiving ultraviolet radiation.Cultural relic protection workers should choose effective means to avoid the damage while recognizing this harm.Secondly,for the stone processing industry,the research content of this article will also promote the formulation and updating of relevant institutional standards in the industry,and play a role in interoperability and reference.
