Adopted backward trajectory tracking method of water vapor and statistical methods, this paper analyzed the evaporation contribution of low latitude plateau(LLH)to the precipitable water and precipitation rate, the sources and pathways of the water vapor inputting the LLH,the sources of water vapor contributing to the precipitation events, and their relation to the precipitation rate in LLH using the ERA-Interim reanalysis data provided by ECMWF and the precipitation data provided by GPCC.complementary water vapor, the new definition of the cycle rate and the mixing ratio,We obtained the main conclusions are summarized as follows:(1)The convergence ratio and recycling ratio present obviously regional and seasonal differences. The recycling ratio is mainly determined by the non-local circulation rate, and the convergence ratio is mainly determined by the local convergence ratio in most areas.Although the total evaporation has a less contribution to the precipitable water vapor in the LLH,this small part of water vapor can significantly influence the precipitation rate in the LLH.(2)Owing to the topography, the pathways of total water vapor inputting the LLH are different in different seasons.(3)The transient moisture transportation is closely related to the LLH precipitation in the seasons except summer.(4)In winter, the evaporation anomalies in west of Hengduan mountains and the north-south narrow area east of the LLH can directly affect the LLH precipitation. In summer, only the evaporation anomalies within the northern Bay of Bengal and the eastern Sichuan basin can directly affect the LLH precipitation.
