Hunting is a sustainable way to manage wildlife resources. The Dulan hunting ground in Qinghai Province of China is one of the top ten hunting grounds in China.Hunting has played a role in promoting economic development and wildlife conservation in the area.Since 2011,due to the influence of public opinion, network and social media,China's international hunting has been suspended, and the development of the hunting industry in the area has also been curbed. At present, hunting has been adopted and recognized by international organizations and many countries as a sustainable way of wildlife population management. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to understand the public's perception of hunting and wildlife conservation,to clarify their attitude to hunting as a way of wildlife management, and then to measure the significance of hunting in China, and to provide some empirical evidence for the establishment of a hunting policy and management of wild animal populations in China. The research method of this paper is selective experiment based on Pseudois nayaurus,a national Class II animal protection animal. The paper study the farmers and herdsmen in Dulan County, the residents of Xining, and the residents of Beijing as the subjects of research by questionnaires and interviews to analyse and summarize people's attitude toward the management of hunting policy and policy preferences, the conclusions are as follows.Respondents generally have a sense of wildlife conservation and hope that the number of sheep populations will remain unchanged or increase by 10%;Urban residents disagree with hunting as the way of wildlife management, while farmers and herders hope to develop the modern hunting of the sheep. The hunting policy and changes in the number of sheep affect the compensation of farmers and herdsmen. If the modern hunting of sheep can be carried out,for the farmers and herdsmen, they believe that the government can reduce certain human-animal conflict damage or compensation of the grassland and are willing to reduce 573 yuan per household per year on the basis of existing compensation.Urban residents believe that the government should increase the amount of compensation for farmers and herdsmen. And they should add more compensation if the hunting is not adopted. Most of the Respondents agreed with the hunting as a way to regulate the population and eliminate human-animal conflicts. There are differences in attitudes towards the policy of hunting between farmers, herdsmen and urban residents. It is suggested in this paper that the attitudes and opinions of the communities related to wildlife conservation represented by farmers and herdsmen should be shared with the urban residents when formulating the management policy for hunting sheep. The attitudes and opinions are communicated at the same time to correctly guide the attitude of the public and social media towards hunting policy.Regardless of whether or not the management policy of hunting sheep is adopted,it is necessary to manage the population of the sheep to prevent its excessive number or extinction;Increase the farmers and herdsmen'economic, which will increase their tolerance to wildlife;Reduce the losses caused by human-animal conflicts and improve the compensation mechanism;Strengthen the scientific propaganda of wildlife conservation knowledge and laws and raise people's awareness of conservation.
