Zisha pottery,referred to as Zisha,is a kind of ceramic products with Chinese traditional characteristics,Yixing Zisha is the most famous Zisha pottery.Zisha set practical,functional,ornamental,artistic and collectibles as a whole,is very popular in the world.In recent years,with the development of tea culture,expanding the use of Zisha,and Zisha collection rising,Zisha products especially Zisha teapot is attract more and more worldwide attention.Emergence and development of the root causes of Yixing Zisha is blessed with mineral resources conditions:the concentration of production in Huanglong Mountain?the Zisha zone?in Dingshu Town and other places,are very rich in excellent process performance Zisha mineral raw materials.However,with the long-term large-scale mining of mineral resources and Yixing product demand is growing,especially at the local government to limit the ban on logging,Zisha mineral raw materials supply is facing enormous challenges,to search for new Zisha mineral raw materials has become a serious problem.Rong county of Sichuan province is rich in pot clay mineral resources.Due to the lack of research,it mainly used in the production capacity of the various specifications of 501000 L of low value-added wine pots.With the development of the country's economic situation,using local raw materials to produce high-energy and low-value's wine pottery is no longer fit the social development,product innovation and upgrading has become the primary task.In this paper,we used various modern ore determination&analysis techniques?XRD,XRF,SEM,thin section analysis,thermal analysis,etc.?to get comprehensive results.By comparing different mineralogy,petrology features and ceramic technology tests between pot clay from Rong County and clay from Yixing Zisha.With all the similarities on mineralogy and petrology feature straits of Zisha clay from Yixing area,we are able to identity Rong County pot clay as a good Zisha mineral resources.Based on mineralogy and petrology system test and ceramic performance research,We improved the quality of Rong county Zisha,and carry on the production of Rong county purple Zisha pug,green Zisha pug,and red Zisha pug.Through a large n?mber of experiments and test data analysis,we have made the following findings and developments:?1?The main chemical composition of Yixing Zisha continues,??SiO2?61.63%,??Al2O3?25.86%,??Fe2O3?7.63%,??K2O?2.44%,and the four of up to97.56%,while the content of harmful ingredients CaO?0.69%?,MgO,Na2O,P2O5,SO3is low.Yixing zisha contains four main minerals that is Quartz,Kaolinite,Illite and Hematite.And,the quartz is about 30%35%?25150?m?,the content of kaolinite is about 35%40%,the illite is of 23%28%,Hematite is for 4%6%,It is an important feature of Yixing purple clay mineral raw materials.that the four minerals is a symbiotic association.In addition,the clay formation size of Yixing zisha is,coarse particles of clay?450150?m?accounted for 35%,the part of fine particles?<75?m?is about 50%,and different size material of chemical composition and mineral elements are the same or similar,that is,the same mineral raw materials is processed to.?2?Yixing Zisha clay material plasticity index of 11.63 is a medium plasticity,purple can give good molding conditions.In the firing temperature 1000?1250?temperature range of the loss on ignition Yixing Zisha clay Yixing little change,shrinkage increases with increasing temperature,after the start of the expansion;absorption increases with temperature reduced the firing of pottery purple color with increasing temperature and darker,the brightness values,red values and yellowness values decrease with increasing temperature.Optimizing the firing temperature,1150?1200?firing Yixing Zisha clay Yixing,loss on ignition of 6.02%-8.30%linear shrinkage rate of 5.84%-7.04%,volume shrinkage rate of 15.54%-19.98%,water absorption of 0.82%1.59%,firing color purple-purple;purple body after firing short column visible?200nm500nm?mullite,can impart good strength Yixing,green body common open pores and closed pores 13?m,and can give Yixing good air permeability.?3?Rong county Zisha mineral raw materials has Yixing Zisha clay material similar chemical and mineralogical composition and structure of the configuration in which the chemical composition of??SiO2?64.29%,??Al2O3?22.72%,??Fe2O3?6.51%,??K2O?3.81%,the sum of the four reached 97.33%,while the low harmful ingredients CaO content?0.35%?;mineral assemblage of quartz 35%to 40%kaolinite25%to 30%illite 30%to 35%,red iron 3%to 5%,both similar content;structure is composed of massive structure,the structure of argillaceous silt,more evenly distributed quartz,silica particle size of 10250?m.?4?Add homogenous coarse clinker?<450?m?,can reduce the firing shrinkage Rong county slightly purple,but the effect is not obvious,but add greatly reduce the clinker pug plasticity,is not conducive to forming;the fine particles pug?<105?m?was added clinker fine particles?<75?m?,can not be reduced firing shrinkage of Rong county purple,but with the increase in clinker added,firing shrinkage increases;by controlling the particle size of the raw material is processed into a certain particle size ratio the mud,which can effectively reduce the firing shrinkage Rong county purple,the greater the processing of the mud particles,firing shrinkage is smaller,but the plasticity and decrease with the increase of the particles,we finally adopted mine broke through a 60 mesh?300?m?sieve to potter working with clay material.?5?Rong county Zisha mineral raw materials using a first layer of ore can be directly processed into Yixing Zisha clay mud,mud plasticity index of 13.15,a moderate plasticity;optimize the firing temperature is 1175?,at this temperature,wet molding Rong county purple purple mud loss on ignition of 5.65%firing linear shrinkage of 7.76%,volume shrinkage rate of about 19.4%,water absorption was0.96%;the resulting sample purple pale purple,with a granular structure?100200?m?and pore structure?35?m?,both of these features,and was equal with Yixing Zisha clay Yixing identical or similar.?6?Using Rong county Zisha third layer of mineral raw materials mining pick out the green part can be directly processed into green clay material,processed pug plasticity index was 17.64,the high plasticity clay material,superior Yixing Zisha clay material;optimization of firing high temperature of 1200?,at this temperature,wet-forming green clay Yixing loss on ignition of 5.15%,drying linear shrinkage of3.77%,firing linear shrinkage of 7.26%,volume shrinkage rate of about 18.15%,water rate of 1.58%,firing color is beige.?7?Rong county Zisha red part of the third layer of ore mineral raw materials processed into picking out red mud pug,pug low plasticity?plasticity index of 5?,through the addition of 5%of the tender mud formulation,plasticity index can be increased to 9.50,a moderate plasticity to meet and make a small teapot Yixing pots molding requirements;optimization 1175?firing temperature,ignition loss Rong county red mud purple wet molding was 4.26%,a shrinkage of the firing line 5.65%,the volume shrinkage of approximately 14.13%,water absorption was 1.94%,firing color is pink.
