Based on the practical application,the paper makes a research on the coupling module from the aspects of theoretical analysis,scheme design and simulation.Through the analysis of semiconductor laser characteristics and various incoherent beam combining methods,the coupling design choice of semiconductor laser.Based on the polarization combination method,Based on the polarization beam combining method,a high brightness high power fiber coupling module for pumping source was designed by using 16 semiconductor lasers with 980 nm output power 12 w.Through the analysis of the multi-wavelength combination method,three kinds of wavelength lasers are selected to design a multi-wavelength high-power fiber coupling module which is suitable for material processing.The coupling module optical system,packaging requirements were analyzed through the SolidWorks software simulation to meet the application requirements of the package module.The thermal characteristics of the package module were analyzed by ANSYS software,the heat sink structure of the module was analyzed and optimized,a new heat sink model was proposed to improve the module cooling capacity.
