As an key part of the marine sector,the island plays an important role in China's marine economy,homeland security,military affairs,and marine ecology.At present,there is relatively little research on the monitoring of surface coverage of islands in China,which is incomplete on the basic data of most islands far away from the mainland.Therefore,it is imperative to carry out the monitoring of the extraction and change of the land cover of the island,so as to realize the mastery of the island's land cover resources and the sustainable use of the island.Based on geographic information system and remote sensing technology,this paper constructs a technical system framework for the extraction and change analysis of the island's land cover elements.The research includes high-accuracy extraction of surface cover types of islands based on object-oriented classification techniques,analysis of land cover changes based on transfer matrix,and analysis of temporal and spatial changes of coastline.The specific research results are as follows:(1)Based on the object-oriented ground cover type extraction,the multi-scale segmentation method is mainly adopted to realize the segmentation of the surface types at different levels.At the same time,shape features,spectral features,and NDVI,NDWI,and other feature spaces are selected,and on this basis,the nearest neighbors and membership function method are utilized to classify the different types of ground cover types,use confusion matrix to evaluate the accuracy,and compare with the maximum likelihood classification results.The results show that the object-oriented classification method is more accurate for the extraction of island surface coverage.(2)Analysis of land cover change based on transfer matrix mainly uses parameters such as land transfer matrix and net change,exchange change,and total change to analyze the transfer direction and amount of transfer in the process of island land cover change.At the same time,the dynamic degree of the land cover change process was explored using a single land use dynamic model and an integrated land use dynamic model.The results showed that the most significant changes were found in the mining and vegetation of Tongpan Island in the study area.(3)Coastline change analysis mainly includes the use of object-oriented extraction of shoreline and tidal level correction,and analysis of the overall changes in shoreline,the temporal and spatial changes of shoreline types,and the speed of shoreline changes.The results show that the copper shoreline and artificial shoreline are more obvious.The length of artificial shoreline is mainly reflected in the increase in length.Sandy shoreline causes erosion of shoreline due to massive artificial sand mining activities.
