The wave groups' characteristics become one of the most important characteristics of wave fields.The group characteristics of sea waves play an important role in the stability of the seawall,the stability of the harbour and the motion response of moored buoyancy.At the same time,the wave groups' characteristics are related to the marine environment.Therefore,exploring he wave groups' characteristics of the nature ocean waves is of great significance for the design of ocean engineering.In this paper,the wave characteristics of a certain sea area are analyzed.Firstly,the measured wave data of the sea area are analyzed statistically,and the statistical characteristic parameters of wave and their relationship are studied.The results show that the ratio of each characteristic wave height is basically the same as that of Rayleigh distribution,but the ratio of the parameter ratio is larger than that of the specified cumulative wave height.The ratio between the characteristic period and the average period is within the range of the recommended value of the Goda,but the ratio should be higher.The spectral width parameters describing the wave spectrum are further analyzed.The relationship between the characteristic parameters of the wave statistics and the spectral width parameters is studied.The results show that the statistical characteristic parameters will increase with the increase of the spectral width parameters.After that,based on the commonly used wave group parameters,the characteristic parameters of the wave group are analyzed,and the correlation between the height and the length characteristic parameters is analyzed.The results show that the parameter of group height and group length should be considered at the same time,and based on the correlation between the parameters,it is suggested that the group high parameter GFH and the group length parameter GLF be used to describe the wave group size.In general,the wavy waves of measured waves are stronger.At the same time,the relationship between wave group parameters and spectral width parameters is explored.It is found that group parameters decrease with the increase of spectral width parameters.Finally,the wave envelope spectra is analyzed,the results are compared with those given by other scholars,and get an empirical formula that can reflect the wave envelope spectrum of the measured waves.The formula takes into account the group height and group length parameters at the same time.The wave envelope spectra can be determined by giving thewave characteristic value and wave group parameters.It is hoped that it will play a certain reference role in the future wave group theory research and engineering construction.
