Today's society has entered the era of information pluralism,in order to increase the amount of access,near-eye display technology came into being,and in both military and civil shows its great application value and potential.The near-eye display system based on optical waveguide technology can provide the necessary information for human eyes,and make the human eye can observe the scene through the Wave guide plate,which becomes the key technology and research hotspot of the present display system.Using waveguide element can make the optical image vertical deflection propagation,which not only reduces the optical transmission distance,but also reduces the use of the mirror in the system,which is advantageous to the simplification and miniaturization design of the optical system,and can meet the demand of the future high-performance new near-eye display system.However,the optical waveguide adopts the semi-anti-permeable membrane structure,the structure of which leads to the discontinuity of pupil and the formation of serious ghost image,which ultimately affects the imaging quality of the system.Therefore,it is of great significance to optimize the performance of optical waveguide near-eye display system.In this paper,the basic principle of the near-eye display system and the optical waveguide display technology are studied deeply,the reasonable system performance index is developed,and the relationship between the pupil,the field of sight and the waveguide size in the optical waveguide configuration design is analyzed in detail.Then the paper analyzes the continuity problem of the pupil and the causes of stray light,and puts forward the optimization scheme.Finally,a kind of optical waveguide configuration which can effectively improve the display performance is proposed,and a set of eyepiece alignment system is designed,which is small in number and compact in structure.The whole optical waveguide display system is further optimized.Finally,the optical design software is used to realize the simulation of several typical optical fields and the whole system,and the main size parameters of the structure of each part of the system are given.The results show that the configuration meets the design targets,satisfies the display requirements of large visual field,large pupil and excellent imaging quality,and verifies the feasibility of the scheme.
