Compared with the traditional microwave communication technology,the free-space optical communication technology is often used in inter-satellite communications by various countries because of its good emission efficiency,sensitivity and confidentiality.the space optical communication generally has two transmitting systems: the beacon light transmitting system and the communication light transmitting system.Their optical power and beam divergence angle will change with the transmission distance while communicating.The article only considers the remote transmission to which the inter-satellite communication background belongs.The beam-divergence angle of beacon light requires high value while the beam-divergence angle of communication light requires low value.However both of them are supposed to meet the requirement of high power.A device for a single light source alignment and communication is invented by the article.In popular culture,this device refers to a technology that the two emission systems just adopt one LD working as a common light source.The article focuses on the modulation and driving technologies of the communication light transmitting system,while the beacon light transmitting system is only briefly presented.Firstly,design an integrated driving module based on the band of 800 nm semiconductor laser.On the theoretical basis of laser and direct modulation,the module includes direct modulation,temperature control,power control,and current-limiting guard circuit.Test the module by using the scheme of intensity modulation direct detection,then collect and analyze the experimental results.Finally the integrated module should be debugged and ameliorated by combining with the analysis of the phenomena of chirp and oscillation in the process of experiment.The technology of single source alignment and communication can protect the functionality of system,as well as reducing the quality,volume,power consumption and the cost of system.There are few countries that have established precedent researches analogous with this article,however the relevant experiments have not been accomplished successfully.Our country could free mind for the future development of miniaturization,lightweight and low-energy in the space optical communication field by the study of this article.
