Light carries not only energy but also momentum.A transfer of momentum from light to matter results in radiation pressure.Recently,a rapid-developing topic called cavity optomechanics which study the interaction of light and mechanical oscillator via radiation pressure has shown luxuriant contents.Cavity optomechanical system is the most promising and fruitful one for his small volume and high quality factor.For the past few years,cavity optomechanics has achieved great progress including optomechanical induced transparency,slowing of light,optomechanical dark state,chaos and higher side-band generation and so on.These researches also promote the application in precision measurement,quantum communication and optical on-chip architecture.Recently,the researches on cavity optomechanics are not limited in its linear aspects,the nonlinear essence of optomechanical interaction has shown much importance.Here we study the sum and difference sideband generation in cavity optomechanical system,the main contents including three parts:First,in chapter 1 we introduce the background of our research including the development of cavity optomechanics and its applications,the accurate model of the optomechanical system and the derivation of the Hamitonia,and the linear phenomena.Secondly,in chapter 2 we concentrate on the nonlinear aspect of the optomechanical system.We introduce the generation of higher sideband and illustrated the band structure with both analytic methods and numerical simulations.We also introduce the existence of chaos in optomechanical system.At last,in chapter 3 and 4 which are the central part of our study,we demonstrate the sum and difference sideband generation with both analytic methods and numerical simulations,we find that by adjusting the parameters of the system,the generation of sideband can be drastically enhanced,this tunability may have potential applications in optical communication and on-chip optomechanical devices.
