In this paper,I mainly discuss the electroweak vacuum stability in the standard model of particle physics. At the beginning of this paper,I give a short introduction to the development of particle physics and the establishment of the standard model. And then,I deduce the equations of the running with energy of the coupling constants in the standard model from one original paper.Next, according to the running with energy of the Higgs self-quartic coupling constant and the Higgs effective potential,I shortly introduce and analyze the electroweak vacuum stability in the standard model. At last,I briefly introduce the influence on electroweak vacuum stability when an extra real singlet scalar is added to the standard model.Besides this, after considering two pieces of parameter spaces,I draw a conclusion that the electroweak vacuum in this new model is stable. |
