The Taxonomy Of Scaptodrosophilacoracina Species Group(Diptera,drosophilidae) From East Asia,with DNA Barcoding

Nine species of the Scaptodrosophilacoracina species group are described from East Asia: S.coracina(K ikkawa & Peng,1938),S.fuscilimbasp.nov.,S.fusciventriculasp.nov.,S.helvpectasp.nov.,S.longispinata sp.nov.,S.nigrolimbata sp.nov.,S.trivittata sp.nov.,S.ventriobscuratasp.nov.and S.zebrina sp.nov.In this paper,the identification characteristics of the coracina group were revised,and the morphological description of the new species was described in detail.The photographed of the head,throax and abdomen,plotted characters of the male terminalias and part of the ovipositorwere provided;the measurement and index of the examined species,collection and origin information were provided.A key to all the examined speciesin the coracina group is provided.Species delimitations have been improved by integrating the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I(COI)gene sequenceswith morphological information.The intra-and interspecific pairwiseproportionaldistance(p-distances)are summarized.In most cases,the intraspecific p-distances in the coracina group were less than 1%,while the largest intraspecific p-distance in the brunnea group was found in S.coracina(= 5.6%);the smallest interspecific p-distance was found between S.fuscilimbasp.nov.and S.helvpectasp.nov.(= 4.7%).The phylogenetic tree was constructed by neighbor-joining(NJ)method based on 35 COI sequences,and four known species,S.maculata,S.melanogaster,S.nigricostata,S.obscuratafrom genus Scaptodrosophila were selected as the outgroups.At least one diagnostic nucleotide site was recognized for each species.
