Higher education is shouldering the burden of our education development and the cultivation of high-quality talents.It is also an important driving force for the development of our country.As an important course in higher education,college physics experiment course is an effective way to cultivate students' practical ability and innovative ability.Therefore,the actuality and the quality of physics experiment teaching have always been the focus for the higher education workers.Teaching competition is an important way to promote the professional development of teachers.Starting with the status and the others of college physics experiment teaching in higher education,the educational theories related have been expounded,which is based on an analysis of present situation at home and abroad of the university physics experiment course.The memoir of the 2017 national young teachers' teaching competition of basic physics experiment course in university has been regarded as the object of study in this article.Based on the analysis of competition system,status of the participating teachers and process of the competition,an observation scale has been compiled from four dimensions,which are the teaching link of the course,the integrity of the curriculum,the quality of the teacher's answer and the use of the auxiliary tools in classroom.It is found that most of the experiments are replications.And the young teachers of physical experiment course have not studied deeply enough in the teaching content,and they always focus on the teaching of experimental principles and operation sequence with one fold method.So some suggestions have been put forward for improvement.The young teachers in universities should be encouraged to dig into the teaching content and strengthen the relationship between theoretical and experimental teaching.The judges of competition should guide them to improve teaching methods.And the organizers should adjust the rules of the competition system and scoring.
