Natural geographical regionalization is not only the result of regional division,but also the method and process of regional division,as well as a scientific method of understanding geographical features and discovering geographical laws.the comprehensive study is increasingly important with the production and living of human growing need and the development of human understanding of nature.The comprehensive natural regionalization provides scientific basis for the rational development and utilization of natural resources and the effective transformation of natural conditions and the formulation of the transformation of natural plans.Taking Fengxian as the research object,this paper describes the comprehensive situation of Fengxian from the aspects of natural geographical conditions,humanity,society and economy.Based on the principle and method of regionalization,a comprehensive natural zoning system and an integrated natural zoning index system are constructed.Comprehensive natural divisions of fengxian is divided into three level system,and selected the landform,meteorological,hydrological,soil,land use types as the main division index from the index system of factors.The index data is processed with the support of ArcGIS.In this paper,two kinds of zoning methods are adopted to carry out comprehensive natural zoning of Fengxian.One zoning method is to combine the dominant symbol method with the top-down method and spatial overlay analysis.The first level zoning is divided by the landform as the leading symbol.The second level zoning is based on the first level zoning,with the soil as the leading symbol.The third level zoning is based on the second level zoning,and is divided by the meteorological leading symbol.The other is to use the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight coefficient and to use the weighted superposition to obtain the second-level zoning plan.On the basis of the second division to carry out cluster analysis and get the first level zoning plan.Similarly,the three-level zoning is based on the result of second-level zoning and carry out the optimal index analysis of each second-level division unit,and finally the three-level zoning plan is obtained.Through the comparative analysis of the two zoning methods,found that the division unit of the first zoning scheme is too broken and violates the purpose of the division.While the second division plan meets Fengxian regionallaw,and clear boundaries.So the second division method is adopted as the integrated natural zoning plan of Fengxian.The first grade area is named "regional azimuth +geomorphic name",and the second grade area is named by the location of the region,and the third grade area is named by "the name of the second grade zoning + orientation + natural geography".The Fengxian is divided into three of the first grade area(North Middle and low mountain,central basin area,southern basin area),and six of the second grade area(Feng North District,Feng East North District,Feng West North District,Feng West District,Feng East District,Feng South District),and seventeen of the third grade area.
