With the population aggregation,accelerated urbanization and the scarcity of land resources of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay area,which is a world-class urban agglomeration,the high-rise and ultra-high-rise residential buildings were outbreaked in the urban areas.In the planning stage,designers of home and abroad do not pay enough attention to high-quality wind environment and building energy consumption in residential areas,especially in China.The influence of outdoor wind environment was studied by different of consulting literature,CFD numerical simulation,comparison and induction and case analysis.This paper will be described in the following four parts.The first and second chapters are the theoretical basis of the outdoor wind environment of buildings.We can clearly know the frontiers of the resaerches and methods by reading the literature at home and abroad.Previous researches,relevant regulations and climate of the bay area were summarized in chapter 3.According to the effects of wind speed,wind direction,wind pressure and air age,we can formulate an evaluation plan for the wind environment.Chapter 4 and 5 explored the impact of architectural design factors on the wind environment.We verify the correctness of CFD numerical simulation firstly.Then we find the individual building plan form and the group building layout that has the best wind environment with different dominant wind through CFD numerical simulation.In chapter 6,we conduct an overall assessment of the current outdoor wind environment and identifies areas to be improved by using the Taipa Central Park Community in Macao and the reconstruction urban village of Lie-de in Guangzhou as samples.Then we optimize the outdoor wind environment of the building by changing the current community design factors.The analysis of outdoor wind environment of individual buildings and group buildings under different conditions,and the case of residential districts in Macao and Guangzhou was a basis of design factors on high-rise residential building and the outdoor wind environment,can provide reference for the planning and design of the residential area in the future.
