Rare earth,an extremely important strategic resource,has been widely used in many industries,including electron,petrochemical,energy,military,environment protection,agriculture and High-tech,which makes quantity demanded of many countries grow with each passing day.Neverthless,the research on rare earth in the weathering crust of emeishan basalt has been a hot topic for a long time.Therefore,rare earths of Weining region is selected to utilized in this article.And through studying on its`characters of mineralogy,petrology,and geochemistry achievements of,some achievements are got.1,The results of research on the basalt weathering crust of Zhejue section and overseas section show that rare earths mainly enrich in a layer of containing iron rock department which located between the top of two Permian basalts in Mount Emei and the bottom of two Permian Xuanwei formation.Ore bearing rock series are mainly include kaolinite,tuffaceous clay rock and clay rock and so on.The higher total content of rare earth reach REE 776.93x10-66 in average,and the highest is 2828.91x10-6.And it shows a parabolic trend on profile.Compared to the bottle and top of clay rock,the middle is easier to enrich rare earth,so it is a huge potential basalt weathering crust type rare earth resource.2,These results of research on studying characters of mineralogy,petrology,of caly rock in basalt weathering crust indicate that rare earth mainly enrich in kaolinite,minerals in clay rocks with mainly in isomorphic form.3,The analysis of microelements shows that the geochemical process of the weathering crust of basalt is a process of desiliciation and aluminum-rich.During the process of wind blowing,the pyroxene and feldspar minerals would decompose strongly,then the oxides such as Fe,Al and Ti increase significantly.At same time,Ca,Na,Mg and K rapidly leached.,and content of SiO2decreases constantly.The migration sequence of elements was CaO>MgO>Na2O>SiO2.REE migration and enrichment of rare earth in the weathering crust of basalt.4,The trace elements trace elements Sr/Ba,V/Zr,Th/U ratio shows that the basalt weathering crust mainly formed in warm and humid oxygen enriched environment with the process of transgression.5,Through the analysis of the results show that,compared with weathering crust of rare earth,rare earth and rare earth elements of weathered basaltic crust in Mount Emei basement greatly enrich.REE in basalt weathering crust generates strongly differentiation.Moreover,light REE fractionation is intense,but hree effect is not obvious-right LREE enrichment type.6,The leaching rate of rare-earth elements is 7.14%,which shows that the REE in basalt weathering crust is mainly isomorphism,and ionic adsorption accounts for a small proportion.7,The study of continental weathering and lithofacies palaeogeography shows that,after following the Dongwu movement,the Emei mantle plume form.Kangdian ancient land uplift nearing coast.Leping,which belongs to the period of warm and humid climate,which lead to weathering and erosion of Mount Emei basalt,which provides a lot of sources for rare earth.The migration of rare earth go through six stages before enrichment and ore formation.
