In the context of climate change, the operation of apple-related enterprises is facing enormous challenges.Management personnel in apple-related enterprise are an important part of corporate assets and are the decision-making body for enterprises to cope with climate change. In order to improve their ability to operate under the impact of climate change, the enterprise related should pay more attention to the perception of climate risk and the perceived climate vulnerability of the enterprise's management personnel,in addition to focusing on the objective adaptability of the enterprise, which is the product of the interaction of subjective and objective conditions.Risk perception emphasizes the awareness of enterprise's management personnel on climate risks.Perceived vulnerability has an important impact on the risk management of management personnel. Therefore, the study on the influence factors of climate risk perception and perceived vulnerability of enterprise's management personnel has important theoretical and practical significance for improving the ability of enterprises to operate in climate change.Based on the theory of risk perception, vulnerability, and prospect theory, the paper based on the social cognitive model of proactive private adaption to climate change impact, and previous research results,a method for measuring the climate risk perception and vulnerability of enterprises' perceptions of management personnel was proposed and an index system of influencing factors was constructed to form seven assumptions. The management personnel of the apple-related enterprises in the Loess Plateau were selected as the research objects, and the perceptions of the management personnel were divided into two aspects: climate risk perception and perceived enterprise climate vulnerability. The climate risk perception is divided into three categories: regulatory risk, physical risk and other risks.A multivariate linear regression model affecting climate risk perception and a hierarchical regression model affecting the perceived vulnerability of enterprise management personnel are constructed.According to 81 valid questionnaires, the multivariate linear regression model and hierarchical regression model under the 1000 times repeated sampling of the bootstrap method were used to test the corresponding hypotheses and the results were analyzed and explained. The results of this study indicate that: mitigation policy understanding, adaptation policy understanding and “weak human center orientation” positively influence regulatory risk perception, age negatively influences regulatory risk perception;adaptation policy understanding, media quantity, and “strong environmental center orientation” positively influence physical risk perception;adaptation policy understanding, quantity of media, and scientific conclusions trust positively impacts other risk perceptions;other risk perceptions and management confidence negatively affect enterprise perceived vulnerability.According to the actual situation of the research and the empirical analysis, the following five conclusions are drawn: First, there are diverse factors influencing the climate risk perception of apple-related enterprise management personnel.Second, there are differences in the influencing factors of different types of climate risks.Third, the objective adaptability of enterprises has no impact on the perceived vulnerability of enterprises.Fourth, subjective perceptions of management personnel negatively impact corporate perceptions of vulnerability.Fifth, enterprise characteristics have no impact on climate risk perception and perceived vulnerability.Based on the research results, the study proposes proposals that aim to improve the ability of enterprises involved in dealing with climate change.First, expand access to information related to climate change;second, establish values that value the environment;third, increase the implementation of climate change related policies;fourth, optimize the structure of the corporate management team;fifth, strengthen corporate climate risks evaluation ability.
