Cold target recoil ion momentum spectrometer?COLTRIMS?is one of the important experimental tools to study collision dynamics, which mainly detect the state change of both projectile and the target particle before and after collision. It shows a powerful ability in detecting the momentum space of electrons and ions coincidentally with high resolution and 4? solid angle. In our laboratory,we have also set up a COLTRIMS system, combined with high repetition-rate femtosecond laser pulses,to study the ultrafast dynamical processes of the interaction of atoms or molecules with intense laser field. This thesis first extensively describes the constructing and debugging processes of the COLTRIMS system. Then we elaborates the design and operating principles of the vacuum system, supersonic molecular beam, ion and electron detection system, electronic circuit, data acquisition and momentum reconstruction. Finally we performed the experiment of double ionization and dissociation of CO2 by using the coincidence technique and further analyzed the Coulomb explosion process of the CO22+ and?CO2?22+ ions.We also obtain the angular distribution of fragment ions in various reaction channels. The angular distribution of the momentum of fragment ions, the energy released in dissociation processes and relevant nuclear separation are also presented. The comparison with other experimental results shows a good reliability of our experimental systems.
