The underwater sound propagation is studied in multiple science subjects,and its theories and results have implications in many engineering fields.The numerial simulation has been playing a more and more central role in this field,along with the rapid growth of the high performance computing technologies.For implementing the parallel simulation of the underwater sound propagation,there are still several problems to be solved: The build of the technical roadmap and the design of the architecture of the simulation,also the development of the simulation platform and the auxiliary analyzing tools.For solving the problems,in this thesis we focus on the key technologies for the numerical simulation of the underwater sound propagation.The main contributions of the thesis are listed as follows:1.Built the architecture of the direct numerical simulation of the underwater sound propagation based on FVM.We choose the finite volume method(FVM)for constructing the simulation of the underwater sound propagation method.We analyze the techniques of FVM with the underwater problem.We summarize the requirements and we present the feasibility analysis.On top of those analysis we build the direct simulation arcitechture.This arcitechture combined the general method of FVM with the specific needs of underwater sound propagation problem.It will be the basis of the development of the simulation platform.2.Implemented the underwater sound propagation simulation platform based on OpenFOAM.We analyzed the design and functions of the parallel application framework OpenFOAM,and we presented the system design of the simulation platform to meet the needs of the underwater sound propagation problem.We implemented two key techniques under the framework: The acoustic solver and the sound propagation boundary conditions.With the help of a thirdparty software we also functionalized the frequency analysis.The simulation platform serves as a basic tool of the large-scale parallel simulation.3.Designed and implemented the frequency analysis tool built-in the simluation platform.The simulation platform presented by the second point of contribution functionalized its frequency analysis in the Open FOAM post process with a thirdparty software.To overcome the weak points of that implementation,in this thesis we designed the frequency analysis method built-in the simluation platform and implemented its data structure,sampling module and tempo-frequential transforming module.The experimental results proved that the application of the built-in method had improved the functionality on frequency analysis of the simulation platform.
