The Aljin gold metallogenic belt has potential mineralized prospects of gold-polymetallic ores.Previous researched and work mainly focused on the northern margin of the Aljin mount,while the exploration projects carried out in the southern margin were relatively limited.The Banhongshan area is located in the south slope of the Aljin mount,belonging to the Eboliang Variscan W-Bi-REE metallogenic belt.Active faults and extensive magmatic activities developed in this area,indicating that the Banhongshan area has favorable conditions and geological backgrounds for the formation of ore deposits.Based on the systematic studies on the geological,geophysical and geochemical dataset,this thesis investigated the characteristics and genesis of gold and gold-polymetallic mineralization,analyzed and evaluated the mineralized prospects and potentials preliminarily.The main achievements are listed as follows.(1)Ten 1:50000 stream sediment anomalies and two high magnetic anomalies were newly identified.Two target areas including eastern section and western section were delineated.By verifying these anomalies,there gold orebodies and two gold mineralized bodies were delineated in the western section.In addition,the explosive breccia pipe with gold-polymetallic prospecting potentials,as well as one Au-Ag-Pb-polymetallic mineralized occurrence and one Co-Ti mineralized occurrence were also revealed.(2)Further investigations into the gold-polymetallic bodies suggest that the distribution of mineralization was closely related to the inner and outer contact zones of strata and secondary structures.Extensive limonitization,pyritization,silicification,horfelization,cataclastic lithification and jarositization were often observed nearby the mineralized bodies which have obvious geochemical anomalies.(3)On the basis of the above work,the ore-forming prediction was carried out.Exploration breakthroughs were obtained in the abnormal areas of AS1,AS4 and AS6 via the identification of anomalies.It was pointed out that the explosive breccia pipe in the abnormal area of AS1 had good ore-forming potentials,which would play an important role on the exploring work in this area.Meanwhile,the author believes that it is important to take the newly-found explosive breccia pipe as breakthrough point for further exploration and combine with the existing work,regional prospecting projects and related research progress.If a breakthrough can be made,it will throw new lights on the polymetallic prospecting work in the southern slope of Aljin mount.
