On the basis of summarizing the previous research results, from the point of view of combining damage mechanics and catastrophe theory, using the methods of theoretical deduction, laboratory test and numerical simulation, the catastrophe damage model and the criterion of instability failure are established by deducing and establishing the catastrophe damage model to judge whether the slope is damaged by catastrophe. The main research contents are as follows:1.By analyzing the status quo of rock damage model and catastrophe model, the characteristics of common catastrophe model are summarized.2.Based on the damage evolution equation of Weibull distribution, the folded catastrophic damage model and the cusp catastrophic damage model are established by Taylor expansion of the differential form of density potential function with different orders. The concept of failure proximity is introduced, and the criterion of instability failure stiffness and cusp catastrophic damage of the folded catastrophic damage model are proposed. The criterion of instability and failure of injury model;3.The uniaxial and three-week compression and tensile tests of sandstone are carried out,and the basic mechanical parameters of rock are determined. At the same time,FLAC3 D numerical simulation was used to verify the folded catastrophic damage model and cusp catastrophic damage model, and the applicability of the two models was analyzed.4.The application of folded catastrophic damage model and cusp catastrophic damage model in slope engineering is validated and analyzed by overload method and strength reduction method respectively.
