Exploration On Urban Design Based On GIS And Spatial Syntax

Urumqi is located in the Silk Road Economic Belt.It is the core area of "one belt and one road".With the rapid development of urbanization and rapid expansion of urban space,in order to master the driving force of urban evolution and traffic organization,this paper combines GIS and space syntax as a research tool to provide countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing urban space.Under the background of large data,new methods and technologies are applied more and more widely,and their role in urban design is becoming increasingly important.The combination of GIS and spatial syntax can make urban space as a whole system,and through the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of different areas of land,make rational analysis results that can be used in the whole and part of the city.The new research model can not only get rid of the traditional planning of spatial research relying solely on experience and inertia thinking,but also avoid dismantling the built environment without respecting the built environment.it can also provide new rational and scientific aids for urban design.Based on the theme of "Urban Design Exploration Based on GIS and Spatial Syntax",this paper first discusses its theoretical basis and research methods from the related concepts of GIS and Spatial Syntax.Secondly,it combs the research progress of GIS and Spatial Syntax at home and abroad,and analyses the main application contents in different stages of urban design field.By acquiring the plot height of the International Convention and Exhibition Center of Urumqi City.Based on elevation raster data,geographic analysis of slope and aspect is carried out through GIS.Three main analysis methods of spatial syntax,namely,axis analysis,convex spatial analysis and visual analysis,and two technical parameters,connectivity and integration,are studied and compared respectively on the current situation and design scheme of land use.After effective combination with urban design method,the implementation of urban design in later period is carried out.Path provides optimization strategy.
