Xiaolinzi area is situated on the Longhupao-Da'an terrace in the central depression area of northern Songliao Basin,and is adjacent to Qijia-Gulong sag in the east.In the study area,faults are densely developed and have obvious control over hydrocarbon migration and accumulation.Therefore,in order to systematically study the controlling effect of faults on the formation of oil and gas reservoirs in Xiaolinzi area,Sartu,Putaohua and Gaotaizi reservoirs are selected as the research targets.On the basis of known three-dimensional seismic data,logging data and oil testing data,the structural and evolutionary characteristics of faults in Xiaolinzi area are described,and the division of fault system and identification of oil source faults in Xiaolinzi area are further studied.Combining with the study of oil-water distribution law and the technical means of reservoir anatomy,this paper comprehensively analyses the control effects of oil source and conduction faults,favorable sand-breaking configuration,lateral and vertical fault sealing on hydrocarbon accumulation,summarizes the mode of fault reservoir control,and predicts the favorable targets of the study area.It provides a reference basis for the next stage of oil and gas exploration and development in Xiaolinzi area,guides oil field exploitation and increases production and storage.Based on the above research of the controlling effect of faults on hydrocarbon accumulation in Xiaolinzi area is concluded.The concrete manifestations are as follows:(1)Oil source and transporting faults have a strong control over the formation of oil and gas reservoirs,which are easy to distribute near the source and transporting faults.(2)The formation of oil and gas reservoirs can be easily controlled by favorable sand-breaking configuration,i.e.when the fault strike is perpendicular or near perpendicular to the extension direction of sand body.(3)The lateral sealing ability of faults controls the migration and accumulation of oil and gas.The faults with weak lateral sealing ability can be used as the migration channel of oil and gas,and the faults with strong lateral sealing ability can block the accumulation and accumulation of oil and gas.(4)Vertical sealing ability controls the vertical migration of oil and gas.When vertical sealing ability is weak,oil and gas migrate vertically along faults.When vertical sealing ability is strong,caprock blocks hydrocarbon accumulation.
