In nature,the surfaces of butterfly wings,rose petals and surfaces of many other living creatures are highly hydrophobic.With the development of science and technology,hydrophobic materials have been applied to many fields such as oil storage,bacteriostasis,anti-coagulation,waterproofing,anti-pollution and anti-oxidation due to their unique advantages.In this paper,four species of Rosaceous plants,including strawberry,rose,begonia and rosa chinensis,have been selected as experimental materials.The biomimic polymer films were constructed by using two-step transfer method with these flower surfaces as templates.Stereoscopic microscope,scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope have been used respectively to observe the plant surfaces and the multistage microstructure of PDMS biomimetic films.Contact angle meter has been used to measure the contact angles of the surfaces of plants and biomimetic polymer film,and infrared spectrometer has been used to analyze the chemical composition of the petals.After culturing Gram bacteria on the surface of the biomimetic polymer film,the bacteriostasis of the surface has been analyzed.The results show that the surfaces of the four petals have complex micro-nano multilevel structure with a contact angle of 120.9~141.2°.The surfaces are highly hydrophobic and this property is codetermined by the micro structure and the chemical components on surface.The prepared PDMS biomimic film has a multilevel micro structure and is highly antibacterial.Eight kinds of biomimetic films have been cultured in Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis for 24 hours,and the average inhibition zone diameters are 5.5 mm and 5.1 mm respectively.The positive side of bio-film of strawberry calyx is the most bacteriostatic.The average inhibition zone diameters of Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis are 7.0 mm and 6.0 mm respectively.The biomimic polymer film with micro-nano surface structure has obvious inhibitory effect on Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis.In this paper,some progress has been made in the making and bacteriostatic research of biomimic polymer functional surface materials,which wills provide experimental and theoretical basis for making future biomimetic polymer functional materials.
