| Microplastics include fragments and textile fibers with a particle size of less than 5 mm.Microplastics account for more than 90% of the global Marine debris. As Marine pollutants, microplastics have been confirmed to be ubiquitous in the Marine environment.Through ingestion and other means, the microplastics in the environmentcan enter the organism. The surface sediments in the aquaculture sea area and the typical tidal flats around the area were used as research areas. There were 7 research areas and 24 sampling points. The results show that microplastics are commonly found in aquaculture sea area of Zhoushan. The microplastics produced by different worn farming equipments, discarded farming equipments and the discharge of various land-based wastes resulted in great differences in the types, colors and particle sizes of microplastics at different stations.Overall, the microplastic abundance of sediments is between(6.6±2.94)20.46±10.32n.100g-1 dw.Microplastics can be divided into fragments, fibers, foams and films according to the shape of appearance. The proportion of fibers is up to72.05%,and the particle size of micro-plastics is concentrated in 50μm-1mm.The color of the microplastic is mainly lighter, and the white color accounts for 46.60%.The chemical composition of the extracted microplastics can be obtained by using Fourier infrared spectrometer, polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinylchloride and polyamide. In this study, the occurrence of microplastics was investigated in marine products of Zhoushan sea area. These eight seafood products include fish, crustaceans, shellfish, and other types. The types of microplastics in seafood products are different. The abundance of microplastics is affected by the size and surrounding environment. The abundance of microplastics was respectively(0.83±0.1)4.8±0.4Items/g.The majority of the detected microplastics were found with a size of <5mm,most of which were less than <1mm,accounting for 74% of the total. After infrared spectroscopy, the chemical composition of the fibers were identified aspolyamide and polyethylene.Polypropylene(PP)and polyethylene(PE)were the major posmer types of the selected plastic fragments. The main chemical component of foam fragments was polystyrene.Scanning electron microscopy of the micro plastic surface showed that the surface of these microplastics were broken into certain extents and was able to adsorb some toxic substances including heavy metals, organochlorine Pesticides, etc.,then become carriers of these materials. This research aims to otain the pollution status of microplastics in aquaculture sea areas through investigating the marine organisms. And the results can be used as a basis for assessing marine debris, especially microplastics. |
