In this paper,we apply a modified weak Galerkin(MWG)finite element method to solve the Brinkman equations.The MWG method is based on the weak Galerkin(WG)finite element method.The problem that WG method has a big calculating cost is solved in the MWG method.In the practical computation,in order to make MWG method more efficient we use the average of inner functions to replace the boundary functions Compared with WG method,MWG method is highly effective because this method has fewer degrees of freedom.Error equations and optimal error estimates are established in H1 and L2 norms.
