Genomic islands are specific regions of the genomes that are closely related to horizontal gene transfer and have a special structure that often carries genes that are involved in disease,resistance,and suitability.Genomic islands move between different species,causing cross-species transmission of related genes,which is of great significance for species evolution and new function acquisition,which is one of the key research areas in microbiology.This paper systematically analyzed the differences of genomic islands between different species,proposed an evolution analysis method based on the genomic islands,and constructed an analysis platform integrating gene,gene island and evolution analysis.The main content is arranged as follows:1.Genomic island prediction methods and construction methods of phylogenetic tree are reviewed.According to the types of input samples,we introduced the prediction methods of the genomic islands,and discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the phylogenetic tree construction methods,which lays foundation for further research.2.We proposed a new phylogenetic tree construction method based on the genomic islands.We screened the characteristics of the host are by the confidence interval,and the core features are selected by using the kurtosis difference of the feature distribution.We scored each window using two-sample t-test and got a similarity matrix to construct phylogenetic tree.Through the experiments of three standard data sets,we found that the gene transfer pathway of bacteria can be found by identifying and comparing the genome island information of different species,which provides a new perspective for species evolution analysis.3.We constructed the genome island database and evolutionary analysis platform.We collected more than 7000 genomes,collated the predicted genome island,gene annotation and function annotation,and constructed genome island database.According to the characteristics of genome islands,we built an evolutionary analysis platform to analyze the evolutionary relationships through genome island database.We designed a linkage chart of genome islands to show the genomic islands and phylogenetic trees.The genomic island database and analysis platform were published on the Web,realizing online viewing,prediction,annotation and analysis of genomic islands.
