Hetao basin is located in the northern edge of the ordos fault belt and the southern part of the Mongolian axis in the north of the north China platform.Wula mountain is the northern boundary of Hetao basin, where the lateral water system is developed. The bedrock is mainly gneiss and the central part is granite. The lithology is relatively simple, making it an ideal place to study the interaction between internal and external forces.Fracture is located in south Wula mountain, the fracture properties of left-lateral normal fault, according to the distribution shape can be divided into western?Xishanju-Gongmiaozi?,middle?Gongmiaozi-Heshunzhuang?and eastern?Heshunzhuang-Baotou?.The Cenozoic fault activity was intense, and the Quaternary period reached2000 meters. There were three-level platforms along the fault.Although the age of platforms has been measured, there is still a big difference in the rate of activity in the Wula mountain. This paper using the DEM data of 30 meters resolution, the slope,Relief Amplitude,Swath profile, river profile,Hack profile,HI,Ksn and knick of the Wula mountain are extracted by ArcGIS.These data are used to analyze the differences in relative tectonic activity and the rate of rise in each segment. The main results and understanding are as follows:?1?The swath profile and slope map show that there are two stages of erosion in the Wula Mountain, with altitudes of 2200 m and 1900 m respectively.Compared with Daqing mountain, this paper thinks that the 2200m erosion surface corresponds to the Pliocene?N2?planation surface, and the 1900m elevation surface is the Quaternary erosion surface. The Relief Amplitude shows that most of the undulations are between75-200 meters, and more than 200 meters are mainly distributed in the south.?2?Most of the rivers profile have a slightly concave shape, and the Hack profile is uniformly convex. The K'value is characterized by a small west and a small east. The HI values are all greater than 0.42,indicating that the Wula mountain has been in a state of uplift and strong erosion since the Cenozoic.?3?The rivers are all developed with knick. The latest stage of the knick is developed near the mountain pass and does not migrate inward. The Ksn is also different in space. The Ksn of the Gongmiaozi-Heshunzhuang section is larger than that of Heshunzhuang-Baotou,the maximum Ksn appears in the vicinity of Heshunzhuang. After excluding the influence of lithology and other factors, the uplift rate is the main reason for affecting the steep index of the Wula mountain. The uplift rate of the western part of Wula mountain is large, and the rate of uplift in the eastern section is small.
