Coal is the basic energy source in China.In Chinese power industry,coal-fired power generation still accounts for the majority of the electricity generation industry.As a result,today's growing demand for electricity has made coal resources increasingly shortage.In addition,for thermal power plants,the cost of purchasing coal accounts most of the total cost.Therefore,the management and control of coal-fired science is necessary in thermal power plants.It can not only improve the economic efficiency of thermal power plants,but also save coal resources.With the development of science and technology,we can use applicable technology to build a self-adapting and intelligent coal inventory system,which can systematically manage coal use planning,procurement,storage,and monitoring.In this paper,a set of coal inventory system based on laser scanner is set up,It can realize fast real-time measurement of coal storage capacity in thermal power plants.The system configuration needs to build hardware equipment and development supporting software:In terms of hardware,an intelligent mobile shuttle is designed.The vehicle is equipped with a laser scanner,positioning encoders,motors and other equipment.It is installed on the top rail of the coal shed.During the gliding,the coal pile below can be scanned without blind area,and the data for coal storage calculation can be obtained.In terms of software,First of all,the system develops the communication module of the system on the basis of Rapid SCADA,making the system software and hardware form an organic whole.Secondly,according to the needs of enterprises,the development of on-site control software installed in the coal shed to control the terminal equipment to achieve flexible control of the coal inventory equipment,Finally,measurement software was developed to de-noise,triangulate and model the measured data to calculate the coal storage capacity with high accuracy,while achieving remote monitoring capabilities.
