In order to investigate the neurophysiological regulation mechanism of the fighting behavioral strategy of LW and SW male V.aspersus, crickets were injected with synthetic inhibitors of octopamine/dopamine(OA/DA)and serotonin. And then, fighting behaviors were analyzed under different resource environments and different wing morph combinations.Major results are as follows:(1)Effect of Octopamine/dopamine(OA/DA)synthesis inhibitor(?-Methyl-p-tyrosine,AMT)on fighting behavior of the male cricketsIt was indicated that blocking the synthesis of octopamine and dopamine inhibits the fighting behavior of male adults.AMT inhibits its biceps by inhibiting the synthesis of octopamine in the central nervous system, significantly reducing the fighting grade of LW and SW male adults. After treatment with octopamine receptor agonists, the the octopamine energy system was reactivated and the fighting performance was restored.(2)Effect of AMT on the territory fighting behavior of the LW and SW male cricketsIn the case of males only, the males of the LW males are more domain-specific than the SW males, and the presence of other males can stimulate a stronger fighting desire. The results of AMT treatment on male adults of the LW and SW male, the results indicate that the territory fighting behavior of LW and SW males is regulated by the octopamine neurological pathway.(3)Effect of AMT on the mate fighting behavior of the LW and SW male cricketsIn the case of females, males of SW males have stronger reproductive desires than males with LW males, and the presence of potential mating objects can stimulate a stronger desire for fighting. The results of AMT treatment on male adults of the LW and SW male, this result indicates that the female fighting behavior of LW and SW male is also regulated by the octopamine neurological pathway.(4)Effects of serotonin synthesis inhibitor(a-methyltryptophan,AMTP)on the territory fighting behavior of the LW and SW male cricketsThe results of AMTP treatment on male adults of the LW and SW male showed that the male fighting desire of the LW and SW male was not regulated by the serotonin nerve pathway. However, the statistical analysis of the duration of fighting showed that serotonin has different regulatory effects on the tolerance of LW and SW male adults.(5)Effect of AMTP on the mate fighting behavior of the LW and SW male cricketsThe results of AMTP treatment on SW male sho'wed that the desire and tolerance of the males of the SW male adults were regulated by the serotonin nerve pathway, which blocked the synthesis of serotonin and inhibited their female fighting behavior. The results of AMTP treatment on LW and SW males showed that serotonin may have different regulatory effects on the behavior of male and female larvae, and that blocking serotonin promoted the fighting of LW male adults. The results of the survey on the winning rate of the fight show that the behavioral strategy of"deciding to retreat"in the fight is not regulated by the serotonin pathway.
