With each new stage in the development of human society, information becomes the most demanded and most important resource. The Geographical Information System(GIS)becomes prevalent in most professions.Currently, maps,as a geospatial information holder, have the same characteristics, with high barriers to access, with volumetric content, with many difficulties in updating and slow distribution. And now,in the media era, they cannot meet the needs of the general public to disseminate geographic information. To adapt to the information needs of the media era,the maps must be a product for mass users and be in real time, not aiming to make its content bulky and complex. Thus, was created a new concept of cards, the type of We-Maps.We-Maps are maps for the masses, its mathematical basis is not very accurate, manufacturers do not need to conduct strict professional training, the map, users can participate in the mapping,at any time, the map can be either a microchannel or a microblog,as well as in personal electronic devices(such as computers, mobile phones)on a simple and fast interactive We-Map as a spatial information product needed in the media era,is a useful addition to traditional maps, its day l remains in the volume of the map.The paper is devoted to the review of the modern methods of creating symbols for geographic information systems such as We-Maps,which constitute entire libraries of symbols. In order to improve the We-Maps,it was decided to create a library of symbols with special symbols. The main idea is to combine a symbol and a QR code with minimal loss in recognition quality.Basic information about the object is stored in a QR code. Thus, without overloading the map itself with unnecessary information, the user has the opportunity to obtain detailed information about a particular place or object of interest. The implementation is made in JavaScript using the API service Amap.com,which is the leader among geographic information systems in China. This service is selected, since other geographic information systems such as Google Maps are prohibited or uninformative, for example, like Yandex maps. This implementation represents a labeled map with its own legend. The geocenter of the map is Lanzhou Jiaotong University. This map represents a web page that is implemented using the hypertext-markup language(HTML).When loading a web page using the JavaScript language,it sends a request to a web service for building a map. There are several tools implemented on the map: the scaling panel and user geolocation. The user's location data is read from the user's GPS coordinates or by the IP address of the nearest network point. On the map,a 3D layer of objects presented on the map is implemented, for the convenience of orientation on the terrain, the implementation is located on the free GitHub service in the public domain. For users,a code was generated to go to this map.The code is scanned from any device that has a camera and a program for scanning QR codes.
