NURBS curve interpolation is a hot and difficult point in the field of interpolation.Nowadays,the ability to interpolate NURBS curve directly has become the standard of high-end CNC machine.With the development of high power fiber laser technology in recent years,it is high time to develop NURBS curve interpolation algorithm for five-axis laser cutting CNC machine.In this paper,An algorithm framework of NURBS curve interpolation for five-axis laser cutting CNC machine tools is proposed.All the details of the algorithm framework are analyzed in detail.The coordinate transformation method for 5AB laser cutting machine tool is studied.Finally,a NURBS curve interpolation simulation demonstration system is developed.The main work is embodied in the following three aspects:Starting from the definition of NURBS curve,all computational methods needed to implement NURBS interpolation technology are deduced theoretically.Their complexity is analyzed from the point of view of algorithm,and the flow chart of program implementation is given,and their correctness is verified by experiments.A method of displaying NURBS curve efficiently on Windows platform is proposed.The drawing efficiency is greatly improved by hardware acceleration technology compared with traditional methods.Coordinate transformation is an indispensable part of interpolation.In this paper,the mathematical model of 5AB NC cutting machine tool is established,and the forward and inverse kinematics solutions are deduced and calculated theoretically,and the correctness of them is verified by programming.A NURBS curve interpolation simulation demonstration system based on Windows platform is developed.Finally,the NURBS curve interpolation algorithm implemented by this system is compared with the traditional small segment fitting method.In the case of direct interpolation,the data occupation space is reduced by nearly 90 times,the processing efficiency is increased by more than 7 times and the feed speed is more stable,which proves the superiority of direct interpolation algorithm.
