Ocean wave energy has the characteristics of high energy density and wide distribution among all kinds of green and clean environmental energy sources,and has become a research hotspot for scientists.In order to optimize the transferring efficiency under different wave conditions,parameters need to be measured and controlled.Thus,development of the measurement and control system platform has important theoretical significance and practical value for promoting development and speeding up utilization of the ocean wave energy.Combining NI CompactRIO embedded system with LabVIEW software platform,a wave energy harvesting control system has been developed in the paper,and some foundamental algorithms are studied and verified as well.The main research work is as follows: The requirements are analyzed and the total scheme are put forward for the wave energy harvesting measurement and control system.The relevant measurement and control circuit modules are designed and the corresponding hardware system are developed;The dynamic model of the whole wave generator and the electromagnetic model of the transferring structure are setup,which provides a basis for the researches on structure optimization and maxim power point tracking control argorithms;Some related software modules of the system are developed based on LabVIEW,including data acquisition module,data storage module,data display module and PWM current control module;The frequency domain integration method are investigated to calculate the wave height parameters using the measured data by an acceleration sensor,as well as the PWM charging current control method based on fuzzy PID algorithm.Finally,the effectiveness of the two above proposed methods are experimentally verified.The measurement and control system proposed in the paper can not only ensure the real-time control,but also has good visibility.It can be used to not only observe the current status parameters while controlling,but also modify or debug control algorithms.The system will provide a convenient and effective platform for the further development of the wave energy harvesting systems.
