With the fast progress of the graphene in the field of materials application, transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)as a new type of two-dimensional materials show similar optical characteristics compared with graphene.Realizing fiber pulsed lasers based on TMDs as saturable absorber(SA)and investigating the stability of the materials in the fiber laser become the motivation of this paper.Firstly, this work prepares TMDs materials by liquid phase separation(LPE)and measures the physical and optical properties of that, the results verify it has saturable absorption characteristic. After the preparation of SA,we focus on the application of TMDs in an all polarization-maintaining(PM)cavity fiber laser, and realize a Q-switched fiber laser, and then investigate the stability of the TMDs in the Q-switched fiber laser with three experiments by improving the test resolution.Secondly,a nonlinear amplified loop mirror(NALM)is fabricated based on the Kerr effect as the SA used to realize a multi-pulse mode-locked fiber laser with a figure '8' all PM cavity, and then this paper improves which with a hybrid mechanism based on NALM and TMDs.A summary of this paper generally expounds the innovation in the studies, and the method which can be used to improve the results in the future. We believe that this work will play a role in the progress of fiber pulsed lasers based on TMDs as SA. |
