Granular computing is an emerging approach to solve complex problems by means of simulating the thinking mode of humans.And it can broaden the application of granular computing theory in practical problems when combined granular computing with quotient space and three-way decisions theory.In this paper,firstly,based on granular computing and quotient space theory,an efficient multi-granulation searching algorithm is proposed by analyzing the medical case screening problem.Then,according to the idea of granular computing,the number of equal granulation object is put forward to describe the domain of three-way decisions,and the three-way decisions model based on continuous domain is presented.This model is helpful for the decision problems of big data.The detailed researches are shown as follows:(1)It is effective to use the granular computing and quotient space theory to solve the complexity.In the medical case screening problem,and the problem space is the sample set in which the total amount of objects is N,and the probability of an object possessing characteristic A is p.For searching the optimal level of the space granulation in the medical case screening problem,an efficient multi-granulation searching algorithm is proposed,and the algorithm not only can search the objects with small probability from large-scale objects,but also can provide a simple and efficient way to settle the similar problems.(2)The theory of three-way decisions is developed and expanded based on the idea of granular computing.Firstly,based on four types of decision errors,the three-way decisions in the discrete domain is proposed.Then,according to the theory of granular computing,the number of equal granulation objects is put forward to describe the domain of three-way decisions,and a three-way decisions model in the continuous is built.Finally,an efficient algorithm for searching optimal thresholds of three-way decisions model is proposed for the continuous domain.These studies further expand the application of the granular computing theory and improve the three-way decisions theory.
