The ultrasound atomization technology is supposed to be applied to the regeneration system based on the cavitation effect induced by power ultrasound.While the reverse osmosis technology is also supposed to be applied to the process of dehumidification in order to completely separate pending air from liquid desiccants.Then the problem that the solution droplets will be contacted with pending air would be solved.This paper theoretically analyzed the basic principle and the feasibility of the membrane-based dehumidification system and the ultrasound regeneration system.Then two mathematical models are built to simulate the actual process.The liquid desiccant air-conditioning system based on ultrasound regeneration technology is designed and established to test its performance according to the mathematical models.The system can advance the independent control of temperature and humidity in air-conditioning system.It will guarantee that air condition is content with living comfort or various technic indexes while it can also save the building energy consumption.According to the measuring experiment on the vapor pressure of mixed LiCl-CaCl2 solution,the mixed solution of 50%LiCl and50%CaCl2 is chosen as the liquid desiccant.Several experiments were carried out to research on various factors and varied parameters which has an effect on the feature and the performance of air dehumidification by the liquid desiccant air-conditioning system.The results show that both of two mathematical models are able to describe the working condition of the system accurately,so they can be used to predict the operating principles of the liquid desiccant air-conditioning system.The regeneration effectiveness of the liquid desiccant air-conditioning system based on ultrasound regeneration technology can reach 0.115 under the same conditions while the specific regeneration rate is 0.258g/kJ.In the other side,the dehumidification rate can reach 1.507g/s while the COPm could be 1.43.These statistics are all better than the ones of the liquid desiccant equipment which complete their regeneration process in a traditional packed tower.However,the regeneration temperature is the core factor which leaves a dramatic impact on the performance of the system.So it would be better to be controlled under 50℃,or it will promote the regeneration energy consumption and reduce the dehumidification efficiency.Finally the efficiency and the operation parameters of the whole system should be optimized,including the physical matching between the membrane-based dehumidification system and the ultrasound regeneration system.The water removal rate of the regeneration system should be equal to the mass transfer flux between membrane and fresh air,then it can guarantee that the liquid desiccant air-conditioning system can work chronically and steadily.
