| “Lens paradox” is defined as a contradiction in which the power of the human eye is reduced, although the surface curvature and thickness of the lens increase with age.Due to the complexity of the human eye, especially the lens,a unified conclusion has not been formed until the current research on the "lens paradox".In this paper,by establishing the age-related optical models of the lens and combining with the generic eye model based on Chinese population, the optical characteristics of human eye optical models of different ages were analyzed. Thus, the analysis of lens paradox was studied. The following is the main research work:1、The research background and significance of "lens paradox" were introduced, especially the research progress of "lens paradox" is discussed.2、According to the structure and optical properties of the human lens,an age-related optical model of the lens was constructed and the structure of the lens at different ages was obtained. The trend of lens power was obtained under the condition of internal shape and refractive index gradient with age.3、Based on the completed digital human eye model, the original lens were replaced by the age-related lens optical models, and the human eye optical model of different ages is established.4、The "lens paradox" was analyzed by analyzing the optical characteristics of the human eye system in the human eye optical model of different age groups. The shift of the human eye to myopia will be slowed down due to the changes of the refractive index gradient and internal facial structure of the lens with age,and the relative position of the optical components in the eye will be changed due to the increase in the thickness of the lens. The above aspects are the reasons why the power of the entire human eye will be decreased with age, that is,the human eye is transformed into presbyopia. |
