Frequency selective surface(FSS),as one kind of generalized metamaterials,has been applied to the research and design of the absorbers,and achived a lot of achievements.Active frequency selection surface(AFSS)with active devices has artificial active controllability,and has a stronger application prospect in realizing adjustable absorbers.This thesis focuses on the design idea of the active absorber,the designs of the feed network and the multi-function absorber.The main work and innovations are as following:1)Reach on the relationship between the absorption rate of the active absorber and the element parameters,the thickness of the medium,and so onA series of simulations were carried out using the electromagnetic full wave simulation software HFSS.The data of the simulation results were analyzed,and the regular pattern was obtained,which is consistent with the regular pattern obtained by the equivalent circuit method, which has accumulated valuable experience for the subsequent design.2)Research on and design of active absorberThe simulation design of two active absorber loading PIN diode,a function is absorption/ reflection,another function is absorbing/transmission,and analyze the electric field distribution, which can directly see the different function of the active absorber when the PIN diode on different states.And two types of active absorbers have been produced,the reflection coefficient is carried out in microwave anechoic chamber and the measurement results are compared with simulation results for verification.3)Research on and design of multi-function active absorberThe simulation design of two new multi-functional absorber,one is load of the PIN diode,by controlling the different status of the PIN diode to realized the four-state dual band wave absorption / reflection controllable;another is load of the PIN diode and varactor diode,by controlling the PIN diode to realized absorbing adjustable depth,and controlling varactor diode to realized absorbing adjustable frequency.
