Birds can trade off and choose their own survival and reproductive investment to take different reproductive strategies to achieve maximum reproductive fitness.Bird reproductive strategies are influenced by external factors such as climate, food, social factors,as well as internal factors such as body condition, age and breeding experience.Due to the short lifespan of small birds and tracking and monitoring difficulty, there are relatively few studies on the influence of breeding experience on their breeding strategies. From March to July of 2017 and 2018,I focus on Yellow-rumped Flycatcher(Ficedula zanthopygia)in Zuojia Nature Reserve of Jilin Province, using the methods of banding mark and video monitoring, combined with the data accumulated by the research group from 2013 to 2016.We investigated the effects of local breeding experience on mate choice,extra-pair copulation, reproductive parameters and parental care.Simultaneously we investigated the influence of breeding experience on reproductive strategies. The study found that there was no significant difference in mate body mass between with and without local breeding experience. The occurrence of extar-pair is independent of parental breeding experience and body mass. The laying date is not affected by local breeding experience of the parental bird, but the better the body condition of the male and female birds, the earlier the date of laying. The clutch size was not affected by local breeding experience or body mass of the parent birds.Female with local breeding experience entered the hatching period earlier and hatched earlier. The incubation date and fledgling date was not affected by male local breeding experience. The better the body condition of male and female, the earlier they enter the hatching period, the fledgling date sooner..The number of provisioning was not affected by local the breeding experience of the parental birds. The number of provisioning was positively correlated with brood size and negatively correlated with the body condition of female.Female with local breeding experience spent more time in the nest. The time spent in the nest was negatively correlated with brood size and positively correlated with body condition of female. The time spent in the nest of male was not affected by local breeding experience and was positively correlated with brood size and body condition. Results of this study indicated that the results show that mate selection and extra-pair copulation of male and female were not affected by local breeding experience.Female could regulate their reproductive investment according to local breeding experience, including the incubation and fledgling date and the length of time in the nest. However, reproductive investment of male was not affected by local breeding experience. In addition, the body condition and the brood size of the parent bird could affect their reproductive investment.
