Groundwater resources play an important role in guaranteeing human activities and maintaining ecosystem stability. With the development of human society, the demand for water resources has gradually increased.Faced with the consequent pollution of groundwater,it is urgent to protect water resources.Tumut Zuoqi in Inner Mongolia is located in arid and semi-arid areas, where groundwater resources are scarce and natural groundwater is scarce.Based on the hydrochemical data, the regional hydrochemical characteristics of Tumert Left Banner are analyzed by mathematical statistics, hydrochemical map analysis, saturation index analysis,Gibbs model and ion proportional coefficient method.Based on the hydrogeological conditions and groundwater flow field, the regional hydrochemical characteristics and the cause of formation of water quality are explored, and the following conclusions are drawn:1.The general trend of Ca2+in unconfined water and confined water in the study area is higher in the north and lower in the south, higher in the West and lower in the east;higher in Na+and lower in the north and lower in the south;higher in the South than in the north and the highest in the southwest;and higher in the north than in the south in the distribution of HCO3-in confined water.2.The main hydrochemical types of unconfined water are as follows:HCO3-Ca type water,Cl·HCO3-Ca type water and HCO3-Mg·Ca type water. There are four main hydrochemical types in confined water:HCO3-Ca·Mg type water,HCO3-Ca·Na·Mg type water,HCO3-Na type water and HCO3·SO4-Ca type water.3.Most of the unconfined water samples are affected by water-rock interaction, mainly distributed in the north and east of the study area;all water samples in confined water are affected by water-rock interaction.4.Most ions in unconfined water come from the karst filtration of rock salt, and there are strong evaporation concentration and ion exchange. Most samples are dissolved by carbonate and sulfate minerals. The confined water is mostly affected by the weathering of silicates.
